November 26 is celebrated as Constitution Day in India to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution by the Constituent Assembly on this day in 1949 . It was officially declared a national observance in 2015 to honor the contributions of its farmers, particularly Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and to promote constitutional values among citizens.
